Life has been very full lately, and I’ve been quieter online than usual over the past few months. Between work, family life, and all the everyday demands of life, I haven’t spent much time blogging or posting on social media.
But last night I received some incredible news…
Small Town Harmony has been named a finalist in the 2026 Carol Awards romance category!
Honestly, this feels surreal. The Carol Awards have long represented excellence in Christian fiction to me, and becoming a finalist is something I never imagined when I first began writing stories of my own.
And the fact that it’s this book makes the moment even more special.
Small Town Harmony is a story about a marriage in trouble—about grace, forgiveness, second chances, and fighting for love when things feel broken. It’s one of the most personal and heartfelt stories I’ve written, and I poured so much emotion into these characters and their journey.
To know that the story connected with readers and judges in this way means more than I can adequately express.
I also want to congratulate the other finalists, many of whom are working faithfully and creatively to encourage, uplift, and edify readers through story. Writing can feel like such a quiet calling at times, so it’s a joy and honour to celebrate alongside them.
Thank you to everyone who has supported my writing, read my books, shared kind words, recommended my stories, or encouraged me along the way. I’m deeply grateful.
My heart is very full. ❤️
