If you’ve fallen in love with Zach and Kezia’s story and aren’t quite ready to say goodbye, you’re in the right place. I’ve put together some special extras that let us linger a little longer in their world.
This is your backstage pass to:
- Links to the songs that became part of Zach and Kezia’s soundtrack
- A special bonus epilogue you won’t find in the retail edition
Music runs through this story like a heartbeat. It’s the bridge between two very different lives and the language they use to understand each other. Some of these songs were alive in my head long before I wrote the first chapter — and in some ways, they helped shape the story itself.
You’ll find songs inspired by pivotal moments, lyrics that carry emotional weight, and melodies that say what words alone couldn’t. And because I love giving my early readers something truly special, you’ll also find a bonus epilogue — a glimpse into Zach and Kezia’s life after the final page.
So grab your headphones, settle in, and let’s step back into their world for just a little while longer.

“All That I Give” — Zach’s Version
The song Zach never should have sung
In the world of Old Town Symphony, “All That I Give” was a Whitney Houston classic. Outside the story, it’s a completely fictional song, written just for this novel.
Originally chosen as Kezia’s technical showcase, “All That I Give” becomes something far more intimate when Zach demonstrates it during a coaching session. What begins as professional guidance turns into an unspoken confession, with every lyric about love and surrender carrying weight neither of them dares to name. When Kezia later performs it in the semifinals, she’s singing directly to him—and they both know it.
Why it matters: Their first musical love letter, hidden in plain sight during a moment that blurs the line between mentor and something much deeper.
“Old Town Symphony” — Kezia’s Version
Her love laid bare
Written with Zach in a moment of rare vulnerability, “Old Town Symphony” blends Kezia’s lyrics about even pain and scars having a purpose with his verse about broken chords leading to connection. When Kezia performs it in the finale—throwing the script aside—it becomes both the bravest risk of her career and the most public declaration of love possible.
Why it matters: The culmination of her personal and artistic growth, and the moment she takes ownership of their story in front of the world.
“All That I Give” — Kezia’s Version
The song that unlocked Kezia’s heart
The song performed by Kezia in her technical showcase in the Starbound semifinals. When she sings it, she’s singing directly to him—and both of them know it.
Why it matters: Kezia could only perform this song with heartfelt authenticity when she visualised Zach while singing it.
“Different Shapes”
Kezia’s breakthrough moment
This is the song that changes everything. When Kezia finally stops trying to be what everyone else expects and finally sings about her deepest wounds, “Different Shapes” becomes her declaration of authenticity. It’s the moment Zach realizes there’s far more beneath her polished exterior—and the moment Kezia discovers she has something unique to say as an artist. Vulnerable and unfiltered, this piece marks the turning point where she stops performing perfection and starts sharing her heart.
Why it matters: Kezia’s artistic awakening and the first real crack in the walls between her and Zach.
“Old Town Symphony” — Zach’s Version
The answer she didn’t expect
Since Zach did write one verse of “Old Town Symphony,” I thought it would be fun to have him performing the whole song. His deeper, more restrained delivery carries an entirely different weight.
Why it matters: This is Zach’s heart on record, performing the song that brought them together.
“Empty Stages” — Jamie’s song
Fame’s aftermath in his own words
Once the darling of the stage at fifteen, Jamie’s career crashed when the spotlight moved on. “Empty Stages” is his haunting reflection on what it means to lose the world’s applause — and then find something stronger in the silence that follows. Bruised but not broken, his voice carries both the ache of what’s been lost and the clarity of what endures.
Why it matters: With Zach’s steady belief and solid mentoring, Jamie begins to see himself not as an industry joke but as a resilient, strong voice with a story worth telling.
Together, these tracks trace more than just Kezia and Zach’s love story. They capture the heartbeat of Old Town Symphony itself—Kezia’s discovery of her true voice, Zach’s guarded heart breaking open, and Jamie’s journey from discarded child star to resilient storyteller. Each song is a thread, and woven together, they create the soundtrack of hope, love, and second chances.
Bonus Epilogue: A Glimpse into Their Future

If you’ve reached the final page of Old Town Symphony and aren’t ready to say goodbye to Kezia and Zach, you’re not alone—I wasn’t ready either. That’s why I wrote this special bonus epilogue.
Set a little while after the events of the novel, it offers a tender, hope-filled peek into their next chapter together. You’ll see the ways their love has deepened, how music and Starbound continue to weave through their days, and perhaps even catch a hint of what the future holds for them beyond the stage.
This epilogue isn’t available in the edition sold on online retailers—it’s my thank-you to early readers and to those who’ve joined my mailing list.
